Current Study:

After having just finished my bachelor thesis I am continuing to study in the Cognitive Science Master program at the University of Osnabrueck.

My bachelor thesis "Learning Symbolic Maps from Robot Navigation" that was supervised by Ute Schmid and Martin Riedmiller can be downloaded here:

Past Study:

In the winter semester of 2002/03 I spend half a year at the Dublin University, the Trinity College (TCD) participating in the Computer Science Courses Computer Vision, Computer Graphics and Artificial Intelligence II.

I have also written an "Erfahrungsbericht" telling people what to regard if they want to go to Dublin and how to manage their stay in the most satisfying way.

Research:

Being a member of the University of Osnabrueck, Intelligent Systems Group I have been working on a project combining the A. I. system IPAL ("Inductive Programming and Learning") with a client/server oriented user interface covering the vital parts of IPAL namely inductive program synthesis techniques and AI-methods for problem solving/planning, analogical reasoning and learning.

The project has been introduced to the public at the Fifth International Conference on Cognitive Modeling (Bamberg, Germany, April 10 - 12, 2003) in form of a poster representation.

It has been published in:

The Logic of Cognitive Systems - Proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Cognitive Modeling (ICCM-5 2003), Bamberg, April 2003, 277-278.
